Photo-A-Day Challenge: Week 28

July 16: Family Fun Night

We were treated to a fun evening at Boondocks last week by Graham's company for their summer party. Will was in heaven between the go karts, bumper boats, pizza, inflatables, popsicles, arcade games, and indoor playground. It was so fun to watch his reaction to everything.

July 17: Boy Meets Dirt

We had a reunion with some friends from our old ward (church congregation), and I had to laugh that regardless of the toys available to them, all the boys ended up playing with cars in a dirt pile.
Of course.

July 18: Green Thumbs

July 19: Pretty in Pink
I love growing roses.

July 20: One Year Portraits, a la Mommy

July 21: School Lunch

The elementary school by our house does free breakfast and lunch for kids 18 and under. Will thinks it's SO cool to go to the school to eat, or maybe it's just the chocolate milk in those awesome little cartons. Who could resist those?

July 22: I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home!

I was the one singing this song on Wednesday night. Graham was out of town for a few days at a conference for work, so the boys and I were on our own. Whenever that happens, which thankfully isn't often, I'm reminded why I would be a terrible single parent. Hats off to any of you who have ever had to parent on your own, and a million thanks to the husband who keeps me mostly sane.

Photo-A-Day Challenge: Week 27

July 10: Running Shoes
It took me 30 years, but I'm finally starting to see why people like running. I'm not running Boston anytime soon, but I've been going 2.6 miles this week, and I'm feeling pretty good.

July 11: What if?
My parents got Logan this water table for his birthday, and I've loved watching the boys experiment with it.

July 12: Big Boy in the House
What do you do with your birthday presents?

Logan wanted to feed some cake to his uncle.

July 13: Giggles

July 14: The Cow Says Moo
Tuesday was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A. By dressing up, dinner was free. Oh, the lengths we go to for free food.

July 15: I Cannot Live Without Books

July 16: Vintage

Photo-A-Day Challenge: Week 26

July 3: I Love the Mountains!

We had such a great camping trip. It was short, but that's the way I wanted it for a first try with the boys. They went to bed late, but they slept great, and loved being in the mountains surrounded by dirt. We went hiking at Cascade Springs the next morning before heading home with two super exhausted boys.

July 4: Stars and Stripes...and Parade Candy

The Centerville parade is becoming something of a tradition for our family. It's such a great small-town celebration full of music, veterans, and lots of candy. Plus, they have a party at Founders Park after the parade with more fun (especially the bounce house).

July 5: Going to Work

Will wanted to "go to work" like Daddy, so he got an extra laptop bag we have and filled it with a water bottle, toy laptop, wallet, and toy cell phone. He then proceeded to set up his desk in the garage. Love this boy and his creativity.

July 6: Reading

July 7: Happy First Birthday, Logan!

July 8: Scout Camp
I went to Cub Country this week for the first time with my Webelos, and we had a great time, despite the rain that cancelled boating.

July 9: Mud Pool

I knew I should have wondered sooner what was taking so long for him to go downstairs and get the cup he dropped off the deck. Apparently, inspiration struck and he decided to turn his sandbox into a pool.

Photo-A-Day Challenge: Week 25

June 25:

June 26: Spoiled

You know those random traveling carnivals that pop up occasionally in the parking lots of shopping centers? The ones that are ridiculously over-priced but you always wanted to go to as a kid? Yep, that's what this was...complete with a prize water gun that broke after 5 minutes of use. But Will loved it, and it gave us something fun to do on a Friday night.

 June 27: I See Me

June 28: Fireman
Logan would play in this fire truck all day long if I would let him. It cracks me up.

June 29: Trial Run
We're going camping tomorrow, a last-minute decision that necessitated the purchase of a tent big enough to fit our whole family. At 14' x 10' x almost 7' tall, this one should last us for many years to come.

June 30: Buzz cut

July 1: Reading Time

July 2: Camping
It turns out that being the mom of the family going camping is more work than I realized as a kid. But, we got it all together and had a great trip. Stay tuned for more pictures of the camp out.
